Activity day

Howdy, I played golf today, well I guess I should say I walked the course and swung the club back and forth, the golf was not too good, the result that is.

The 10 ks that I walk ( ever played submarines, well that is how I walk a golf course, from one side of the fairway to the other) sure is a wonderful way to get the heart rate up, get the blood flowing on these colder winter mornings. Today was simply quite stunning out there, not a cloud in the sky and with just a gentle breeze teasing the leaves of the giant gums that form a guard of honour along every fairway.

At least as I came to end of the round I was able to score a couple of pars , which in turn then gave me the confidence to race to the starter sheet for the coming Saturday's competition and inscribe my name alongside three unsuspecting members, hopefully I will fit into the group and have another enjoyable day "smelling the roses". "Stuff the roses, I want to play well!!"

Thank you anonymous...I look forward to more of your comments over the duration.
Simply a perfect day in Devonport to have a birthday, maybe not a day for a barby in the park , but I reckon a hot bowl of pumpkin soup and a crusty bread roll will be the go.
Have a good day. xox
